“ My partner and I stopped in for lunch at GK Eatery and were absolutely delighted with the entire experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was simply amazing from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive, friendly, and very professional. The food was the real highlight. I ordered the beef tartare, which was genuinely one of the best I have ever had – perfectly seasoned and wonderfully fresh. We also shared a side of the fries with garlic aioli, and they were fantastic; beautifully golden, crispy, and completely moreish. There was also a great selection of drinks available, and we enjoyed a lovely, relaxed session alongside our meal. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with GK Eatery. It's a real gem, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We are already looking forward to returning for dinner to explore more of their menu. A must-visit if you're in the area! ”

“ Almost all starters were available gluten-free, except for the pulled pork croquettes. The mussels were large and absolutely delicious. All main courses were gluten-free. The beef served with parsnip purée and leeks was outstanding, and the tender beef was excellent as well. We chose the honey-braised carrots as a side dish, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The chocolate, pear, and hazelnut dessert was truly the cherry on top — quite literally, as there was half a cherry on the plate. We have been traveling in New Zealand for 12 days, and this is hands down the best restaurant we’ve experienced. Highly recommended to everyone — make sure to book in advance. ”

“ I tautoko all the other rave reviews, this was one of the best meals of my life. Worth a trip to Motueka (although as I've discovered there are loads of reasons to visit again). Don't overlook the vegetable sides, those were the most delicious carrots I've ever eaten. Service was superb—and the prices are so reasonable given the quality. I love what a wide range of people it attracted. There were so many thoughtfully considered details to enjoy here. The fit out is remarkable given the bones of the building are so plain, a rectangular box at the front of a supermarket. I especially appreciated how it's been designed for acoustic comfort. The music was subtle, both the choice and the volume: it added to the atmosphere without making conversation difficult or being intrusive. That is sadly rare and I particularly appreciated it. ”

“ My husband and I ate here the other evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything we had was fabulous! I had the green lipped mussels and he had scallops and we had a side of squash (very similar to butternut, but I forget the name). Absolutely delicious! We also got the dessert which was a cheesecake. Delicious!!!! Would highly highly recommend this restaurant!!! It’s very small so would recommend making reservations. We decided to eat a late lunch and did not need reservations. The owners work in the restaurant daily and take pride in it. We enjoyed speaking to one of the owners, which was also the host and server and his wife, the other owner, is the chef. The restaurant served some of the best food we’ve ever eaten! ”
